NEW STOCK!

Absolutely wonderful antique dining table made by Gillow of Lancaster and London, this table is made of very large single sheets of the finest cut of pollard oak we have seen anywhere, with pollard oak to the frieze, the legs being of solid oak the pollard oak is laid onto solid oak of the highest quality. The extending mechanism of the table is made of very fine quality mahogany and the table extends easily thanks to casters that have two cantilever wheel balancers hidden in the base of the legs and a huge double action screw mechanism.

Interestingly this antique table may be a lot earlier than it looks. There is a sketch and price list of a very similar smaller table like in the Gillow records dated 1829. That Gillow dining table cost a huge amount, over £30 when new! So it is likely that this table cost the original owner even more than that!

When extended this table is 20 feet long and seats at least 22 people.
It is very versatile, any or all of the 7 leaves can be removed.
At its minimum this table is 6 feet square.
