Tables

Please select the type of table you are interested in:

Please click on "Dining," "Writing," "Sofa," etc on the left hand column under "Tables" to see our different types of tables.

There are many different types of tables, so remember to search more than one catagory - if you still dont see what you are looking for please email or phone us to find out our current stock!

Also it is possible that the piece you are looking for has another name. For instance, a Sutherland table might be listed as a Pembroke table! Also you might find that another sort of table would work better than that which is intended for the function - in this way a narrow library table is often an elegant alternative to a sofa table...

Some furniture had a function that rarely applies in the modern world, so a work table, commode, wash stand or pot cupboard are perfectly good wine or lamp tables.

This might seem obvious when viewing a piece first hand, but is less clear when searching a website because of the complexity of the (sometimes eroneous) terminology used!

So please call us if you have any questions about tables (whether oak or mahogany, extending or pedestal, Regency, Georgian or Victorian, 2, 3, 4, or even 5 pillar!) furniture makers (Howard and Sons, Gillows, Holland, Heal), terminology, or indeed about anything antique at all!
