Regency Sofa Table Unusually small Regency mahogany sofa table with end supports, a good high stretcher underneath, and box wood stringing to all edges and inset around the top surface, this table is in the most wonderful untouched condition with excellent colour and patination, it is photographed here just as we found it ready to be restored as much or as little as required. English circa 1820.

This sofa table shows none of the usual shrinking of the top that can sometimes make the leaves wing out. These fall flat and true just as they should. The handles look like they have been replaced, although the handles themselves are probably the same period as the table. It is worth noting how narrow the table is front to back. Many sofa tables are deep front to back, which make them look square in shape and which can cause them to crowd a room. This table is good and narrow yet with the same proportions as a larger one. It is freestanding with false drawers at the back. Great timber great colour.

21" deep
50" wide (when extended)
